Miki Takamura is a romance novelist, but she has recently been suffering from depression and has been unable to write novels. One day, her editor, Hayakawa, suggests that she should try writing something other than romance novels for a change. Miki has been wanting to write about a different subject for some time, and she decides to visit an abandoned building to research it.

Four high school students embark on a terrifying journey through ShadowView Manor 2 years after a horrifying séance gone wrong. Intern Raven, decides to reconnect with her elementary school friends Kota, William, and Jessica by bringing them to her new workplace, ShadowView Manor for a bit of paranormal investigating. Hearing more forbidden secrets from the night janitor sends them into a dark descending spiral of terror.

The remaining students find first a trail of blood and then the torn up pieces of what used to be their friend. Soon they realize that something is hunting them - something that's not from this world.
