This film follows the legendary climbing photographer and Stone Master, Dean Fidelman. Fidelman was at the forefront of the free climbing revolution in Yosemite Valley and Joshua Tree during the 1970s, making photographs with John Bachar, Lynn Hill, Ron Kauk, John Long, and many other talented climbers. This documentary takes a look at Fidelman's impact and influence as a photographer and climber.

The film revisits the rise of bouldering in the 1960s and 70s, as well as its influence on modern climbing. It follows the stories of climbers inspired by John Gill and shows how his ideas, technique, and approach shaped an entire generation. It blends interviews and archival footage to trace the evolution of this practice in Pueblo, Flagstaff Mountain, and more broadly within climbing culture.

Slate Monkeys

Epic Climber

Oman - Desert Fortress

Episode of Expedition with Steve Backshall, a series in which the naturalist and explorer Steve Backsahll takes us on a mission to visit parts of the world yet to be explored. The episode shows the second part of his adventure in Oman. Steve and an elite team of rock climbers head to the desert of southern Oman to attempt the first ascent of a towering escarpment. There, in the Dhofar Mountains, the team will encounter one of Earth’s rarest animals, the Arabian leopard. The other Oman episode of the series follows Steve into an Arabian desert canyon that no human has ever explored.

SERIES | Brit Rock Film Tour 2018 (4/5) Hazel Findlay enjoys an epic day of mountain running and solo climbing in the Welsh mountains of Snowdonia. Stunning shots combine with a considered soundtrack underpinned by a subtle environmental message. This is the first version of the film, which toured with the Brit Rock Film Tour 2018, and with the first version of the script. Sometime later, Paul Diffley together with Hazel Findlay revised the script and wrote an alternative version, which ended up being the final piece, which can be seen free on youtube and vimeo.

Sea fever is a documentary about rock climbing that takes place in Pembroke. It was directed by Martin Crocker in 2003 and produced by Hang Loose. It features Emma Alsford, Martin Crocker, Stefan Doerr, Paul Donnithorne, Sabine Eggert, Steve Findlay and others.

Tent bound in Devil's Bay

Tent bound in Devil's Bay is a documentary about rock climbing that takes place in Devil Bay. It was directed by Tim Kemple in 2011 and produced by Camp4 Collective. It features Alex Honnold, Hazel Findlay, James Pearson and Mark Synnott.
