Contemplative and almost without dialogues, the film shows the routine of inhabitants in a city: a young woman who lives alone; an eldery that lives in the street, next to the river; a police officer; customers in a bar; two students. Little by little, through flashbacks, the plot connects these characters.

The Man from Ruin

After a series of unexpected UFO crash landings on the planet Earth, a large portion of life slowly and mysteriously went extinct. We follow a man that struggles for survival, as he gathers items needed for the impending winter. Outside of personal video logs and the philosophical ramblings of a former human survivor, the man seems to wander the world without contact from other humans.

A girl who has a life she doesn't want, with no family present and no friends, receives a birthday present from her grandfather that will take her to a parallel dimension where she can take refuge. Happiness, anguish and loneliness await her behind the hands of an old clock. Already suffocated by her confinement, she receives one last present, a birthday cake. Blowing out the candles, she receives instructions on how to leave this dimension, but also how to enter new ones.

Built around symmetrical compositions, distorted time perception and dreamlike visual metaphors, the film explores the psychological weight of trauma and the silent violence of inner collapse. Each scene functions almost like a living painting, slowly revealing pieces of a fractured subconscious. The film combines absurdism, psychological horror and poetic visual storytelling to create an intimate but disturbing cinematic experience.
