‘Wall Piano’ takes us into a daydream of a child who lives under the shadow of a separation wall. Artists Asma Ghanem (Palestine), Christopher Marianetti (USA), and Alexia Webster (South Africa) worked with a group of children living near the Qalandia checkpoint in Ramallah, Palestine, a frontline of the West Bank conflict. The idea for this short film came from 12 year-old ‘Nada’, featured in the film, and is scored by Christopher Marianetti.

World's Fair Waffle

In 1964, Mariepaul Vermersch and her parents, Maurice and Rose, arrived at the World's Fair site in Queens and set up a booth serving the popular street food from their home in Brussels, Belgium's capital. They wanted to call them Brussels Waffles, but Rose discovered that Americans didn't know where Brussels was. They began calling them Bel-Gems or Belgian Waffles. They were unlike almost every other waffle served in the United States until then: These were light and fluffy but thick; crispy on the outside and sweet; topped with powdered sugar and/or whipped cream and fresh strawberries. For 55 years, only one place in the United States still serves "authentic" Belgian waffles exactly as that treat, Maurice's Belgian Waffles at the New York State Fair.

It was not a Latvian war, because Latvians had nothing to gain from it. It was not even a war between good and evil, it was a war between red and brown.

Comedy Central's Last Laugh '04 was a "year-in-review" type show where comedians talked about events in 2004. The show featured stand-up sets by Norm Macdonald, Kathy Griffin, D.L. Hughley, Gerg Giraldo, Bill Engval, and Colin Quinn. It also featured a comedic sketch by Andy Dick and guest appearances by Morgan Spurlock, David Cross, Michael Moore, and Zach Galifianakis as Jesus Christ. Modest Mouse and Snoop Dogg were musical guests for the show and performed "Float On" and "Drop It Like It's Hot," two of 2004's most popular songs.

The great white shark was once thought to prefer only coastal waters; today, data collected by satellite transmitters attached to the sharks indicate this ultimate predator actually makes transoceanic crossings. In this television special, the mysterious great white's long migration across the Pacific is studied, where it reaches depths of 2,000 feet and travels up to 43 miles a day.
