A woman wanders in a big and empty parking lots following a man who she seems to want to ambush. From her gestures something furious and menacing emerges. Everything seems to draw back to a woods beyond her abandoned home, a place that hides the true nature of her actions.

Pastime

A retired teacher is sitting at a table outside a bar; it’s a beautiful sunny day. The waiter brings him breakfast. Soon after a young man arrives and the teacher invites him to sit, he was waiting for him. He is dark skinned. He comes from Mali. Well dressed, serene, ready for the “game” that the teacher is playing. It’s a puzzle game where one wins when completing a crossword. But there is a variable that makes this game impossible: guessing the solutions before the question is made. Nevertheless, the young man finishes the game. Or almost…

Monologue

WE BELIEVE remembers the story of Bill Hanlin, who in 1963, coached the St. Marys Football Team to an undefeated and unscored season. The film also tells a modern day story of Coach Jodi Mote, who has coached the St. Mary’s Blue Devil’s high school football team for over two decades. The film shares their life stories and boasts three important things: faith, family, and football.

DARMA

With its brutal and blood-soaked sequences, the film delivers gripping action that heightens adrenaline, supported by dynamic and precise camera movements. At its core, Darma explores sexual abuse committed by those in positions of authority, individuals who not only perpetrate violence but also manipulate systems to conceal their crimes. The narrative also reflects on the power of media in shaping public opinion, and how such coverage can deeply affect the psychological state of survivors. With a runtime of 14 minutes, Darma is both urgent and impactful, pulling the audience into an uncomfortable yet necessary confrontation with truth, silence, and justice.
