The piece uses the architecture and atmosphere of the Barbican to update the story, which is told in three parts.

Do you remember? Last summer, Illinois was confronting a series of bizarre murders. At each crime scene, police found a sketch of a house which turned out to be the location of the next murder. But detectives couldn't identify the houses in time, and the murders continued, becoming more violent until someone recognizes the latest sketch as the old Wilson farm up in Monroe. As we open, a policewoman named Crawley is being interviewed by an unseen authority figure. She tries to remember what exactly happened at the Wilson farm. She explains she was patrolling in the area and went there quickly, intending to find out what the owner knew and get him out. Instead. . . what happened was. . . if only she could remember. . .

Lifeline are launching their 2nd upgrade which is expected to earn them billions along with their ministerial backer. Daniel Avery has lost his wife and daughter in such circumstances and recent nightmares and flashbacks have instigated him to investigate. He slowly uncovers the truth with the help of a rebel group of the pull for power and greed that goes right to the top.

In the Shadow of My Memories

Emir is sleeping at his girlfriend Seren's house. Seren wakes Emir up and tells him that she is going to the hairdresser. Emir does not want to be alone because he was kidnapped in the past. He tries to convince Seren to stay with him, but he fails. Shortly after Seren leaves the house, Seren's neighbor Eren appears at the door. Emir remembers the voice of Eren. Eren is the person who kidnapped Emir in the past. Emir waits for Seren in fear. Seren comes back after a while. But Eren never acts suspicious. Seren tells Emir that he was not kidnapped, that they were all in his head, that he had suspected others before, and that they could no longer see them. The reason they couldn't see them is that Emir himself kidnaps the people he thinks kidnapped him. And his last victim is his neighbor Eren.
