Dicks-A-Thon

Conceived as a challenge between twin brothers, the Dick’s-A-Thon has grown into Seattle’s premiere marathon event. Participants must run to five different locations of the iconic Dick’s Drive-In and eat something off the menu, like burgers, fries or shakes, at each stop. Dick’s-A-Thon is the origin story of a wacky run that has evolved into a beloved race with 650 participants, a fundraiser and a memorial to one of its mountaineering founders.

Do This for the Remembrance of Me

A film on Eucharist in the Episcopal Church that relates the experience of liturgy to the experience of life everyday. The film expresses this relationship by focusing on the lives of four people in the congregation: a street person, a Vietnamese refugee, a Hispanic single mother, and a well-to-do businessman. Scenes from their lives are woven through the liturgical celebration.

Included in "Best of the Northwest Films" exhibition for Bumbershoot. Winner of the Critics Award for Cinematography at the 16th Annual Northwest Film and Video Seminar, 1983.
