As Sania helps her Aunt Sybil prepare traditional Trinidadian bread, she listens to tales of forest protectors and mischievous spirits from Caribbean folklore. When a towering Moko Jumbie-the guardian of the forest-appears, its imposing presence unsettles her, leaving her unsure of its intentions. But when a Douen, an evil childlike spirit with backward feet and no mouth, materializes, the true gravity of the tale begins to unfold. Sania discovers that these eerie encounters are not mere stories but the foreboding start of something far more sinister to come.
