It is the year 2027 and the world has suffered an unspecified socio-economic catastrophe. The aftermath is so severe that even major cities are reduced to apocalyptic wastelands where food water and shelter are scarce. A scavenger named Gilles along with his teenage son try to find their way amongst the desolate remnants of Paris. All the while they must avoid capture outside the strict, daily curfew enforced by the masked agents of a shadow government and their ferocious dogs.

A Boy and His Dog

Set in the year 2024 in post-apocalyptic America, 18-year old Vic and his telepathic dog, Blood, are scavengers in the desolate wilderness ravaged by World War IV, where survivors must battle for food and shelter in the desert-like wasteland. Vic and Blood eke out a meager existence, foraging for food and fighting gangs of cutthroats.

In the 26th century the inhabitants of Utopia have so lost their individuality, which varies in number. They live in glass houses (this was written before the invention of television), which allows the political police, called “Keepers” can easily supervise them. They all wear the same uniform and usually turn to each other or as a ”cipher-so” or "UNIFEM" (uniform). They feed on artificial food and rest hour marching in fours in a row the anthem of the One State, pouring out of the loudspeakers. As they are allowed to put a break on the hour (known as the ”sexy time“), draw the curtains of their glass houses.
