I can see how this works in the context of the nihilistic and homophobic early 1990s but, outside of the grunge era, it's just obnoxious and lazy filmmaking. A few laughs can't save what is a well-conceived but poorly executed idea....

The result: a monster (Guggenheim) with the sex drive of a macho rock star and the sexual orientation of Liberace.
