Movements

In the space of 10 minutes, the African baobab tree grows 0.008 mm, the fastest dog in the world, the Greyhound, can run 12 km, and the Earth travels 18,000 km around the Sun. "Movements" is a 10-minute film which I drew at a rate of 2 seconds of animation per day. We are all walking, seeing, working, running, and stopping together.

Beachworld

The two surviving members of a spacecraft’s crash find themselves on an uncharted planet made up entirely of sand which they remark as being similar to a beach. The planet’s mystery is revealed when a second spacecraft arrives to rescue them.

CyberWorld

A collaboration of computer-animated films which features new characters and old friends from the award-winning Fox network television series, "The Simpsons" and Dreamworks' feature film "Antz" The saucy, synthetic hostess, Phig, takes the viewers through Cyberworld 3D, a futuristic gallery of wild adventure and spectacular images. Trouble arrives in the form of three unwelcomed guests named Buzzed, Wired and Frazzled who are inadvertently destroying the environment's foundation, forcing Phig into a hilarious battle to save herself and Cyberworld 3D from total annihilation!

Xiongmao Monogatari TaoTao

The Story of Panda – Taotao, directed by Shuichi Nakahara and Tatsuo Shimamura, was the first animation produced as a Chinese-Japanese joint venture. Released in December, 1981, the film is about Taotao, a small panda from Sichuan, who was captured and sold to a European zoo, where he got into adventures with his animal friends. The series includes a film in 1981 and a 52-episode series in 1983.

Enough of Myself

Do you ever wonder why you are the way you are? One day I decided to ask myself this question and I have been struggling to put the answer together ever since. “Enough of Myself” is my visualization of this process. When I finally had the headspace to consider my own emotions, it turned out to be a lot harder than I had thought. When you start to examine your own thoughts and patterns, the digging doesn’t stop. You keep digging deeper and finding new connections that you might have preferred stay hidden. But to ignore these things is to give in to them. Growth requires a certain level of vulnerability, not just towards others but towards yourself as well. To grow beyond those negative patterns, you need to look them in the eye first. In my film I tried to capture this emotional process in an array of animations. I hope that I haven’t just captured my own emotional process, but some deeper universal emotions as well.

Fly Mill
