Amaia has just become a mother, and the challenge is even more significant than she imagined. However, she forgot that even when one becomes a parent, one never stops being a daughter.

Suro

Elena and Ivan are getting ready to enter into a new phase in their life. My Child

harming drama set in a rural area of post-war Iran. The film observes their customs and traditions in the tranquil setting of their natural environment. Despite the irreparable damage to their lives due to the war, the villagers remain warm-hearted and kind to those they encounter. The past haunts their lives, but their hearts remain pure and strong in war torn times.

The Ones from Below

Gregório is a rustic and idealistic peasant who lives frustrated in the village of Rosillas. Arrogant and bold, he wants to recover the waters of the family's old dam, which were diverted by Colonel Igrejas, an Argentinean farmer who acts in collusion with the town's mayor to benefit the cultivation of his own vines. In the midst of all this, Gregório will have to face the contempt of the residents, the corruption and the socioeconomic power of the elite, leaving aside the love for his little son Olegário, the care for his elderly parents and the love of Paula, the teacher at the school who insists that he go live in the city. How does the one who stays on the land that everyone has decided to leave survives.

Dinorah, or The Pardon of Ploërmel

Giacomo Meyerbeer's pastoral opera,based on a Breton tale, is the tale of DINORAH who has gone mad because her bridegroom Hoël has disappeared during their wedding. This production, performed as part of Théâtre Impérial de Compiegne's purpose of reviving obscure French opera, is the only version of 'Dinorah' available on DVD, but it is a great production! The painterly pastoral settings and décor and rustic costumes are very easy on the eye. Opera traditionalists who dislike modern stagings will be delighted to know that this is a traditional production. Pierre Jourdan's stage direction is charming and always involving, never once falling into static movements or gestures, gratuitous distaste and irrelevance.
