Thumbelina's Adventure

Thumbelina is born in a calyx. A bumblebee opens the flower and the little one goes on a journey of discovery. She has to hide from a nubile frog in a nut and lands on a water lily leaf. A fish bites through the stem of the leaf. Thumbelina swims down the stream until she is called to dance by a cockchafer. The dance fails and the beetle pushes her off the leaf into the depths. She falls into a spider's web and onto a dandelion. She sails away with an umbrella of seeds and lands on her calyx again. The autumn storm breaks the flower. Thumbelina finds shelter with a field mouse. There she cares for a sick swallow. The mouse wants to marry Thumbelina off to the mole, but the little girl manages to escape with the help of the swallow. They both fly off to the sunny south.

In this animated short film, a dystopian environment contains brittle glass characters, they are divided into two sides: the broken and the intact. The spirits that dwell within are either pure or rotten. The broken remain on their side, to waste away into shattered bits. But the shards have a healing property, a process exploited by an ambitious dark soul who desires to be whole, and part of a possessed, twisted, robotic tribe.

Arthur and the Seagull

Arturo is almost 90 years old. Widowed for a long time, he is used to being alone and his days pass as a pensioner, without doing anything special: walking, sitting by the sea, pretending to listen to the radio. Then one day he gets a newspaper advertising cameras in his hands and, for a moment, the opportunity to devote himself to a hobby becomes a different color among the alleys of an empty and old country like him. The seagull that was chosen as the subject, however, seems to have an entirely different idea on the perfect photography and, what was born as a game to deceive the waiting, turns very soon into a small enterprise that has the slow pace of the age, but the same urgency of freedom and fantasy as a bird’s flight
