A man and a woman have an awkward encounter at an indoor playground.

It is the year 2027 and the world has suffered an unspecified socio-economic catastrophe. The aftermath is so severe that even major cities are reduced to apocalyptic wastelands where food water and shelter are scarce. A scavenger named Gilles along with his teenage son try to find their way amongst the desolate remnants of Paris. All the while they must avoid capture outside the strict, daily curfew enforced by the masked agents of a shadow government and their ferocious dogs.

Two Memories

Henry and Marion have a lover's quarrel and part in anger. They do not reconcile, and ten years pass without contact. Marion becomes a society girl and spends her time at parties with her friends. When she recieves the note, she laughs and tosses it on the floor, but, later, on a whim, decides to take all her drunken friends with her to visit him. When they arrive, Marion finds Henry dead, clutching her portrait in his hand. She sends her friends away and falls to her knees in remorse. Mary Pickford's debut!
